Lynks and job postings are now live for every contractor and business that needs one

The story behind why we built a B2B network where trust doesn't depend on luck.

When the Marshall Fire tore through more than a thousand homes, a friend of ours, Jim, was one of the restoration contractors who stepped up. He'd started his company the year before, and demand blew past anything he'd planned for. Within weeks he was booked solid and closing in on the moment every growing contractor dreads: telling people in the middle of a disaster he couldn't help.

What saved him was a business card. Two years earlier, one of Jim's project managers was filling up his truck in his company shirt when a stranger walked over, handed him a card, and told him that he ran a fire contents and cleaning company with advanced certifications, and would love to team up sometime. The project manager tossed the card in the back of his van and forgot about it.

At two in the morning, deep into the Marshall Fire response and out of options, he remembered. He dug through the van, found the card under a pile of gear, and made the call. The company had exactly what Jim needed: specialized fire contents skills, the certifications to back them up, and the capacity to help. A trial job turned into a real partnership, and Jim's company scaled more than four times past what he thought possible that year, becoming one of the fastest-growing Paul Davis franchises in the country.

One card. One chance encounter at a gas pump. That's what it took.

The problem today

It shouldn't take a gas station and a forgotten business card

Jim got lucky. Most contractors don't.

Most contractors grow the hard way: chasing leads, handing over a third of the job's margin for the introduction, or fighting an SEO race that only gets more expensive. The real unlock, where other contractors and businesses who send you work but also take it off your hands when you're full, is available to everyone. Right now it just depends on the kind of luck Jim had: the right person, at the right pump, with a card that survives two years in the back of a van.

  • Why should finding your next partner depend on a business card surviving two years in the back of a van?
  • Why should a business re-vet a sub whose credentials are already verified and current somewhere else on the platform?
  • Why does finding your next job, or your next sub, still feel like starting from zero?

What's live now

Lynks and job postings, so connection doesn't have to rely on luck

Lynks and job postings are now fully live on Sublynk for every contractor and every business that needs one: GCs, repair networks, carriers, TPAs, property managers, and everyone else in the trades. More than 400 jobs are already posted, and more are being added every day.

Every contractor and business on Sublynk is already vetted through business checks, licenses, insurance, and background check, before they're even let in the door. Lynks and job postings are what that vetting is for: a way for two already-verified sides to find each other on purpose, not because a project manager happened to remember where he threw a business card.

Lynks. A Lynk is a verified, continuously monitored connection between two members. Once you Lynk with someone, you both see each other's compliance status in real time and get notified if anything lapses. Unlike Jim's business card, a Lynk doesn't go stale in the back of a van.

Job postings. Any contractor or business can post a job to the Sublynk job board, and any vetted contractor can apply. There are no lead fees, and no commission is taken from what you earn. Posting is free on a network account. Contractors get postings included in their subscription, with unlimited posting available there too.

Some businesses, like Accuserve, take it a step further with a branded jobs page of their own. This is a dedicated page that lists company specific openings alongside the main board so that contractors who already know Accuserve can go straight to their postings. What this means for you

If you're a contractor

Posting and applying to jobs is already part of your subscription, not a separate paywall on top of it. Need subs for a job you just landed? Post it and let vetted contractors come to you. Looking for work? The board is full of postings from businesses and other contractors, filterable by trade, location, and relationship type, one-time job or ongoing sub work.

Your Sublynk Certified profile does double duty here. It gets you noticed in the public directory by homeowners and businesses searching for your trade, and it makes you a credible applicant the second you respond to a posting, since every credential is already verified. Nobody has to take your word for it, and nobody has to dig a business card out of a van to prove it.

If you need contractors

If you're one of those businesses, a GC, repair network, carrier, TPA, or property manager, job postings are a free way to source vetted talent at scale instead of recruiting and re-vetting every sub by hand. Post a job once and let Sublynk's already-vetted contractor base come to you or run it alongside your existing recruiting to fill gaps faster, including the kind of surge Jim needed and got lucky to find.

And if you post often enough to want your own front door, a branded jobs page like Accuserve's gives contractors already familiar with your name a direct path to your openings instead of digging for you in the general board.

Built to grow without a toll booth

None of this works if it costs more to use it. Contractors pay one flat subscription. The businesses that hire them pay nothing. Nobody pays a lead fee, a commission, or a percentage of a job found through a Lynk or a posting. The network gets more valuable as more contractors and businesses join it, and nobody pays extra for that. Four hundred jobs posted and counting is what that looks like in practice.

The next Jim shouldn't need a gas station.
