How does Sublynk work?
Three steps. Get vetted (business, licenses, insurance, and background verified at the source in about a day), get connected (post jobs, answer jobs, and Lynk with vetted contractors and businesses), and grow (win work through your verified profile and B2B connections, with no lead fees).
What can I do on Sublynk?
Build a verified public profile, get found by homeowners and businesses, post jobs to find crews and subs, answer jobs from other contractors and networks, and make monitored Lynks with the partners you work with, all in one platform.
What does it take to join?
Get vetted. Submit your business, licenses, insurance, and background, and Sublynk verifies them at the source, usually within a business day. Once you're Certified, you're in the network with a live profile.
What do I need to sign up?
Your business tax ID (EIN), basic company information, your insurance broker or agent's contact info, and any licenses or certifications required for your trade and state.
How long does verification take?
Contractors spend between 10 and 25 minutes providing Sublynk with information and credentials. Background checks are typically completed the same day. Sublynk can complete end to end vetting same business day.
Can I sign up as an individual?
No. Sublynk is a B2B platform, so you need to be a registered business, including a registered sole proprietorship, to join. If you are a homeowner looking for contractors, check out our contractor search tool to find vetted contractors you can contact directly.
Can I get help while I set up?
Yes. Live support is there to walk you through onboarding, so a document or requirement you're unsure about never stops you.
Someone invited me to join, how do I connect with them?
The email you sign up with just has to be the email you were invited at, and we will connect your organization to the one that invited you to join. Or, you can find them once you are in the platform and Lynk with them or join their bench if it's a network.
Do contractors and businesses use the same platform?
Yes. Sublynk is a single network where vetted contractors and the businesses that need them, GCs, networks, carriers, and property managers, find and work with each other. Everyone is vetted.
What does Sublynk replace?
The stack most contractors juggle today: a place to find work, a COI checker, a background check vendor, a job board, and the spreadsheets holding it together. Sublynk does all of it in one place.
Vetting & Verification
How does Sublynk verify a contractor's credentials?
Every credential is confirmed at its source, not taken from a document. AI agents trained to vet contractors read each submission and flag anything altered, expired, or inconsistent, then our human team confirms the details with the issuer: the broker for insurance, the state for licenses, the governing body for certifications, and the IRS and Secretary of State for the business. Nothing is accepted at face value.
What exactly does Sublynk verify?
Four things: insurance (down to the policy and coverage lines, confirmed with the broker), licenses and certifications (validated with the issuing body), business legitimacy (tax ID with the IRS, entity with the Secretary of State, bankruptcy, lien, and ownership checks), and background checks (which can extend to every employee, not just the owner).
How is this different from a certificate of insurance or a copy of a license?
A COI or printed credential only shows what someone chose to hand over, and it can be edited, expired, or invalid. Sublynk goes to the party that issued the insurance or credential to confirm it is real and active. Paper tells you what a contractor claims. Sublynk tells you what is true.
Does Sublynk use AI to vet contractors?
Yes. The credentialing engine uses AI agents trained to specifically vet contractor credentials at scale, and our humans dive deep on anything that gets flagged. AI makes our humans go faster, letting the humans make the final call and keeping contractors moving through the system quickly.
Does Sublynk cover every state and trade?
Yes. Sublynk maintains the licensing and insurance requirements for every major trade across all 50 states, and applies the right ones automatically based on what a contractor does and where they work. Networks can layer their own requirements on top.
Do I have to get re-vetted for every network or GC I work with?
No. Once you're Sublynk Certified, your verified credentials carry with you. A new network or GC sees your status immediately, so joining takes a day instead of weeks, and starting a relationship takes minutes instead of a fresh round of paperwork.
What happens when a license or insurance policy expires?
Credentials are revalidated on renewal automatically. The moment something lapses, everyone the contractor is Lynked with is notified, so the trust never goes out of date.
Do background checks expire?
Yes. Background checks are revalidated on a set schedule, and anything that lapses is flagged automatically rather than quietly going out of date.
Why does a license need to match the exact legal company name?
Contracts and coverage bind the legal entity, not a DBA or an affiliated name. A license or policy under the wrong name isn't valid proof of coverage, so Sublynk checks for an exact match before anything is marked compliant.
Pricing & Billing
What's the catch? Is it really just one flat fee?
No catch. Contractors and subcontractors pay $35 a month, and that's the only cost. No lead fees, no commissions, no per-post or per-application charges, no percentage of anything you win. The subscription funds the platform, which is why networks and businesses use it free.
What does the $35/month include?
Unlimited networks and Sublynk Certified: a verified public profile, unlimited Lynks and job applications, 5 job posts per quarter, and unlimited storage and tracking of your licenses, certifications, and background checks. No lead fees, no commissions.
How does pricing work with multiple locations?
Your first location is $35 a month. Every additional location is $10 a month more, on the same account. No lead fees, no commissions, no per-location setup fee. Adding a location doesn't start a new vetting process, since your verified status already covers it.
How much does it cost to post a job?
Job posts are included in your subscription, 5 per quarter, well below the $300 many platforms charge for a single post. If you need more, open a free network account: contractors who manage their own subcontractors can hold both a contractor and a network account, and network accounts include unlimited job posts. Note that network accounts must maintain their contractors within Sublynk. You cannot post jobs to funnel contractors to a separate platform.
How much do background checks cost?
Background checks are billed at cost, from $35 (same business day) up to $145 for owner-level screening.
Do I pay every time I respond to a job?
No. Answering job postings and making Lynks never comes with a per-lead charge.
How is this different from sites that charge per lead?
Those sites make money every time you try to win work. Sublynk doesn't take a cut of your jobs, ever, so responding to ten postings costs the same as responding to one.
Is it really free for networks and businesses?
Yes. Networks, property managers, and vendor managers use Sublynk for free, always, with no lead fees and no commissions on any contractor or vendor they connect with. Contractors fund the platform through their own flat subscription.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no long-term contract. Cancel anytime. If you cancel, your open job postings, applications, and monitoring will be closed. Your Lynks will also be notified that you are no longer compliant.
Lynks, Jobs & Profiles
What is a Lynk?
A Lynk is a direct, ongoing connection between two verified profiles on Sublynk, a contractor and a network, a business and a subcontractor, or any other pairing that makes sense for your trade. Sublynk keeps monitoring both sides, so each can see the other's compliance for as long as the connection lasts.
What's the difference between Lynks and the public contractor search?
The public search tool is free for anyone to use and only shows a contractor's public profile. Lynks are the in-platform connections that give you access to verified documents and require a Sublynk account.
Is there a fee to make a Lynk?
No. Making Lynks is included in your flat monthly subscription, with no per-connection fee.
Can I Lynk with more than one type of partner?
Yes. Networks, businesses, contractors, and subcontractors can all Lynk with each other. There's no limit on how many, or what kind.
Do I need an existing relationship with a partner to Lynk with them?
No. Search the public database and send a Lynk request to anyone whose verified profile fits what you're looking for.
What happens once I make a Lynk?
You're connected directly with that business going forward, no re-vetting or re-introducing yourself the next time they need your trade.
Do I have to sign a separate agreement for every partner?
Any network-specific agreement is signed once, right in the platform, no separate paperwork or back-and-forth.
Can I manage all my partner relationships in one place?
Yes. Every Lynk, along with its agreements and compliance status, lives on one dashboard.
What happens if a partner's credentials lapse after we've Lynked?
Sublynk monitors every credential continuously and flags a lapse the moment it happens, on both sides of the connection.
Can I post jobs and find work in the network?
Yes. Post one-time jobs or ongoing subcontractor openings to source subs and partners, or answer jobs others post. Every posting is between vetted parties, and Sublynk never takes a percentage.
Does my profile bring in work on its own?
Yes. Your verified profile is publicly searchable, so businesses, GCs, networks, and homeowners looking for a vetted contractor in your trade and area can find and contact you directly, with no lead fee. You can also share it in sales conversations as proof you're legit.
Do I need to select every trade I do to get found?
Yes, every service you select triggers the matching compliance requirements, so only select the trades you're properly licensed and certified for.
Can I edit my trade categories later if I add a new service?
Yes. Trade selections can be edited anytime as your business changes.
Does a background check help me get found faster?
Yes. Profiles with a completed background check get priority visibility in searches, though it isn't required to build a profile.
Can I use Sublynk if I only work as a sub and never hire my own crew?
Yes. Your subscription works the same either way. If you ever start managing your own subcontractors, you can add a network account without leaving Sublynk.

What is a network on Sublynk?
A network is an organization that deploys or manages contractors to deliver work for its customers: managed repair networks, insurance carriers and TPAs, franchise systems, general contractors, and property managers. They use Sublynk to recruit, onboard, and continuously monitor vetted contractors, all within the larger Sublynk Certified Network.
What is the Sublynk Certified Network?
It's the only open B2B network where every member is vetted before they get in. Contractors, subcontractors, and the businesses that need them all clear the same verification, then connect, post and find work, and build monitored partnerships in one place.
What do we get as a network account?
Unlimited job postings, recruiting from a vetted pool, your own requirements layered on top of Sublynk's baseline and enforced automatically, real-time compliance monitoring, and single-day onboarding.
Can we add our own requirements on top of Sublynk's?
Yes. Add your insurance minimums, certifications, carrier-specific standards, and agreements on top of Sublynk's baseline, applied automatically across everyone you work with.
How fast can we onboard a new vetted contractor?
If they're already Sublynk Certified, their credentials carry over instantly. If not, vetting typically completes within a business day, even during high-volume periods like a claim surge.
Do our existing contractors and vendors need to leave their own systems?

How do I know a subcontractor is really vetted?
Every credential is confirmed at the source: insurance directly with the broker, licenses against the state board, not just a document a contractor uploads. Nothing is taken at face value.
Are the contractors who apply to my jobs vetted?
Every responder is screened to confirm they're a real business, and Sublynk Certified contractors come fully vetted, with licenses, insurance, and background verified. You can see who's Certified before you reach out.
Do subcontractors need to already be Sublynk Certified to join my bench?
No. Invite anyone, and they'll go through the same verification before they officially join. If they're already Sublynk Certified, their credentials carry over instantly.
Is there a limit to how many subcontractors I can add?
No. Search, post, and connect with as many subcontractors as your bench needs.
Can I vet and manage my own subcontractors on Sublynk?
Yes. Beyond finding subs in the network, you can bring your existing subcontractors onto Sublynk to onboard, credential, and continuously monitor them, so your whole bench stays compliant in one place.
How fast can we find a contractor for an emergency?
Search the public database of vetted contractors near the property, with licenses and insurance already verified, no phone calls required.
How do we prove compliance to a carrier, an auditor, or leadership?
Every contractor carries a visible Sublynk Certified badge, and status counts and trends are ready to show anytime, embedded right in your dashboard, instead of pulled together by hand for every audit.

Yes. No one gets in without passing verification, and credentials are monitored continuously, so every connection you make is with a qualified, compliant business.
What if a contractor's insurance lapses after I've already hired them?
Sublynk revalidates every credential on renewal, automatically, and flags a lapse the moment it happens, so you know before it becomes your problem and a gap never sits unnoticed until an audit finds it.
Why do commercial policies need proof of insurance from subcontractors in the first place?
Most commercial general liability policies exclude subcontractor work by default. Documented proof of insurance, licensing, and a background check is what closes that gap and keeps the work covered.
Is Sublynk SOC 2 Type II compliant?
Yes. Sublynk is fully SOC 2 Type II compliant, with controls for protecting data, system availability, and accurate processing that meet AICPA standards.
What is SOC 2 Type II, and why does it matter?
SOC 2 Type II is an independent audit that verifies a company's data security and operational controls actually work over a sustained period, not just on a single day. It is a real signal that a platform takes data protection seriously.
What's the difference between Type I and Type II?
Type I checks that controls are designed correctly on a single day. Type II is tested over a multi-month period of time to confirm those controls hold up in practice. Sublynk is Type II compliant.
How does Sublynk protect my documents and credentials?
