Vetting & Verification
You should never have to gamble on whether a partner is legitimate.
Choosing who you work with has always been a risk. The sub you hire might not carry real coverage. The contractor a business brings on might not be licensed for the job. You find out the hard way, after the claim, the injury, or the failed inspection. Sublynk makes legitimate, licensed, and insured the standard for getting in, verified at the source before anyone joins.
What we verify
These are the basics every partnership depends on. Sublynk confirms all four at the source, so no one has to trust a certificate at face value.
- Insurance — general liability, auto, workers' comp, and any specialty coverage your trade requires, confirmed at the policy level with your broker or agent.
- Licenses & certifications — validated with the state, federal, or governing body that issued them, never accepted as a photo or PDF.
- Business verification — tax ID verified with the IRS, entity confirmed in Secretary of State records, plus bankruptcy, lien, and ownership checks.
- Background checks — run same day through Checkr at the bulk rate we pay, passed straight to you. Coverage can extend to every employee on your team, not just the owner.
The credentialing engine
The hard part isn't knowing what to check. It's checking it, for real, at scale.
So we built AI agents to do it, with our team in the loop on every call.
- AI agents trained to vet contractors — they read every certificate, license, and filing and flag anything altered, expired, or inconsistent.
- People root out the fraud — the agents surface the red flags, our reviewers make the call.
- Confirmed at the source — every credential validated with the issuer: the broker, state board, IRS, or Checkr.
What took days of back-and-forth now takes minutes. Faster than manual review, and far harder to fool.
Requirements applied automatically
You shouldn't have to know what your trade requires in every state. Sublynk already does.
Tell us what you do and where you work. Sublynk applies the exact licensing and insurance requirements for that trade in that state, pulled from federal and state rules we keep current. No research, no guesswork, no gaps. Networks can layer their own requirements on top, and those are held to the same standard.
Verification that doesn't stop at day one
Being verified once doesn't mean staying legitimate.
Insurance lapses. Licenses expire. Coverage gets cancelled. Most vetting is a snapshot from the day someone signed up, and it quietly goes out of date. Sublynk revalidates every credential on renewal, automatically, and the moment something lapses, everyone you're Lynked with is notified. The trust stays current, not just accurate on day one.
Everyone in the network cleared this first.
Every contractor on Sublynk passed the same verification before they were let in: business confirmed, licenses validated, insurance active, background checked. The basic risk of choosing a partner is already handled, for every member, before you ever connect.
Vetting isn't a feature here. It's the price of admission.
FAQ
How does Sublynk verify a contractor's credentials?
Every credential is confirmed at its source, not taken from a document. AI agents trained to vet contractors read each submission and flag anything altered, expired, or inconsistent, then our human team confirms the details with the issuer: the broker for insurance, the state for licenses, the governing body for certifications, and the IRS and Secretary of State for the business. Nothing is accepted at face value.
How is this different from a certificate of insurance or a copy of a license?
A COI or printed credential only shows what someone chose to hand over, and it can be edited, expired, or invalid. Sublynk goes to the party that issued the insurance or credential to confirm it is real and active. Paper tells you what a contractor claims. Sublynk tells you what is true.
Does Sublynk use AI to vet contractors?
Yes. The credentialing engine uses AI agents trained to specifically vet contractor credentials at scale, and our humans dive deep on anything that gets flagged. AI makes our humans go faster, letting the humans make the final call and keeping contractors moving through the system quickly.
What exactly does Sublynk verify?
Four things: insurance (down to the policy and coverage lines, confirmed with the broker), licenses and certifications (validated with the issuing body), business legitimacy (tax ID with the IRS, entity with the Secretary of State, bankruptcy, lien, and ownership checks), and background checks (which can extend to every employee, not just the owner).
How long does verification take?
Contractors spend between 10 and 25 minutes providing Sublynk with information and credentials. Background checks are typically completed the same day. Sublynk can complete end to end vetting same business day.
What happens when a license or insurance policy expires?
Credentials are revalidated on renewal automatically. The moment something lapses, everyone the contractor is Lynked with is notified, so the trust never goes out of date.
Does Sublynk cover every state and trade?
Yes. Sublynk maintains the licensing and insurance requirements for every major trade across all 50 states, and applies the right ones automatically based on what a contractor does and where they work. Networks can layer their own requirements on top.
